Monitor

PX7 Lookout

Private camera motion monitoring on your Mac.

Use a camera connected to your Mac, choose the parts of the image that matter, and let Lookout save local evidence when motion is detected.

Version 1.0.9 · Seven-day trial · one-time purchase · 7 Macs · macOS 14+

Local camera monitoring

Motion analysis runs on your Mac. PX7 does not process or upload camera frames.

Direct monitored zones

Draw and adjust up to four zones directly over the camera image so Lookout watches only the important areas.

Per-zone schedules

Set weekly start and stop windows for each monitored zone, including overnight schedules, while keeping manual stops deliberate.

Event photos and clips

Save a snapshot, short H.264 event clip and local event history when activity crosses your configured threshold.

Your chosen folder

Keep the local event store on the Mac and optionally copy events to a folder you choose, including iCloud Drive.

Messages alerts

Send test alerts first, then let confirmed monitoring events hand alerts to the Messages app on this Mac.

Feature summary

Lookout is a convenience monitoring tool. It is not a certified alarm system, security product or life-safety service. Your Mac must be awake, camera access must be available, and Messages or iCloud delivery can be delayed by macOS and network conditions.
